So my brother forwarded me an ad on craislist looking for people who want to be on this new show on HGTV called "Secrets from a Stylist". It's with the woman who won Design Star, her name is Emily. So, I emailed the contact on the craigslist ad, and somebody replied "yeah, send us a video, make sure to do this do that". So great, Andy, Jason and I went to the Rosebowl for a good backdrop to video tape why I should be on the show. I like this, this would work for the living room, we like this style ect. We were there for about three hours and were about to leave. We had our footage and it was fun. So I was checking out some pots and this lady was standing there with blonde hair and I was sort of convinced so I asked Andy if it was Emily from the show. He said no and sort of wondered off. So I asked her "hey are you Emily" and she said "yes" and I go "CONTRATULATIONS ON WINNING THE SHOW.. how exciting!!" and she was super responsive.. I said OUT OF all these people, 9 million in LA, I run into you .. I am here auditioning and taping for your show!! And she was like WHAT!! So she asked what room I was thinking would be good for her show and I said kitchen.. and she said "don't do that, we don't do kitchens" then I said "OK, what about a living room, we were thinking about adding some built in book shelves, and some.... " and she cut me off and said "we don't really do any construction or builing". So I said "so you basically just throw down a rug over the floor" as a joke, and she took me wrong and said "no....." with some silence after. She said "have you seen the show" .. Me "yeah" and she goes "what did you think" and I said "it was okay" and she said "okay?" and I go Yeah,.. I think she wanted me to be super impressed.. She basically said there were other shows out there .. other than hers.. she said "good luck" and walked away... YIKES, I blew it!!!
