Friday was the last day of term. We had our critique on floor eleven of Southampton Row building in a long room with a stage. We had to present our group projects to our class (ww and jd). There were about 140 people in the room.
It started at 10 am and rambled until 'bout 2:30. It was one piece of shit after the next that got high praise and compliments from the tudors. It was horrifying. The "highlight" was this group that did this mess of glow sticks and big puffy arms and fishnets and some dumb video. For four.five hours, the tudors didn't have one negative thing to say about anything. Our group's presentation was a nightmare. This one girl in my group read something she typed up and mispronounced every other word. English is her first language. I don't understand.
Saturday I helped Miki move her stuff to another room in her building. She "got new roommates" , meaning she didnt want her old ones. It was fun!! We carried stuff up the stairs and I shook out her old rug. At night, we went to a male choir festival at the Royal Albert Hall. 28 choirs sang at once!! An organ, piano, a boy, a cello player, and a jazz band also performed for the crowd of 8,000. We had to leave at 10, as 3 hours of songs is too much. We had Chinese food and then stood at the bottom of an escalator to watch drunk people celebrating St. Patrick's Day by screaming and eating while staning up. We tried to guess people's ages. I was only off by 2 on drunk short black man. I guess I'm a natural.
Today I woke up at 12, went running, then to get groceries. EXCEPT by the time i got to groceries they were closed!!! Tesco's closes at 4pm. I went and got groceries somewhere else, stopped for a quick roulette, and bought four illegally pirated videos from some lady named Whan when cashing out my 37 pound winnings. She was standing there with a suitcase full of fellonies.
