Stephanie was in town from Joshua Tree. We went downtown and got material. She is working on a new performance project. We installed escelators and elevators in Michael Levine. You know, when you walk behind a counter and scrunch down giving the IMPRESSION that you're on an escelator in a 1 story building. We had food, drove around in the rain, and then finished her SOUND FILE in DP4 which i just got compliments of my roommate. It has a car crash in it so it can't be too bad.

Solid Waist is an original short story told through “live collage.” Metaphysics, subliminal messages, homophones, and pop music were starting points for this piece. The focus is set on two bassoonists and two saxophonists performing renditions of “Check on It” and “Soldier” by Beyonce Knowles. An accompanying “music video” made from bursts of clip art and stock photography illustrate Beyonce’s lyrics in a new and unusual way.
